Hillary Clinton Drops Bombshell: Urges Voters to Look Past Biden's Age at 81, Emphasizes the Critical Mission to Save 'Democracy' from Trump

  • Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, 76, claimed that both former President Donald Trump, 77, and President Joe Biden, 81, are "old."
  • Clinton asserted that voters should continue to support Biden in spite of his advanced age because Trump threatens democracy.
  • Surveys indicate that voters are dissatisfied with the ages of the front-runners for both parties' presidential candidatures.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton acknowledged on Tuesday that President Joe Biden, 81, is "old," saying that in order to prevent Donald Trump from undermining democracy, voters must "accept the reality" of his age.

Clinton made fun of Joe's age during an interview with host Zerlina Maxwell on the radio.

She related to Maxwell a recent discussion she had with someone regarding the president's age.

'Well, but, you know, Joe Biden's old,' someone mentioned to me recently.' "You know what, Joe Biden is old," I remarked. Now let's face it, reality must be faced. Clinton, 76, remarked, "Joe Biden is old."

She went on, "So we have a contest between one elderly candidate who has done a good job and doesn't threaten our democracy." "And we have another candidate who is dangerous, dangerously old, and a threat to our democracy."

She was alluding to the former president Donald Trump, who is only 77 years old.

"So, really, decide which of your two old ones you're going to use to save our democracy," she continued.

"Because, regardless of your political stance, you want to uphold people's fundamental rights, freedom, and the rule of law," or at least that's how I used to think.

Voters are unclear, according to a recent poll, about how Biden's advanced age would affect his chances of winning a second term.

According to a new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Centre for Public Affairs Research, over half of respondents say they have little to no confidence in President Biden's mental capacity to carry out his duties as president. In contrast, Trump's performance was no better than Biden's.

Additionally, nearly six out of ten respondents stated they had doubts about the 77-year-old Republican front-runner Donald Trump's mental capacity.

Notably, Clinton is among the few Democrats to recognise the president's advanced age.

In February, Sen. Richard Blumenthal, a Democrat from Connecticut, told  that Biden "is as sharp as ever."

Similarly, Sen. Raphael Warnock, D-Ga., expressed his excitement at the time, saying, "I look forward to making sure that the president gets re-elected in 2024."

Concerns over the president's age gained national attention after Special Counsel Robert Hur's January Department of Justice report.

Hur said that it became evident during the probe into Biden's improper handling of sensitive data that the president has "diminished faculties" and a "poor memory."

Biden was characterised as "an elderly, well-meaning, sympathetic man" who was unable to recall either the date of his own son Beau's death or his tenure as vice president.

However, the president swiftly refuted Hur's incriminating allegations, declaring that his "memory is fine."
