American (USA) scientist Ashok Veeraraghavan, who has made revolutionary research in imaging technology, has received the Edith and Peter O'Donald Award in the Engineering category. Born and brought up in Chennai, Raghavan is currently a professor in the George R. Brown School of Engineering at Rice University.
